Prithvi B. Rai
Dr. Prithvi Rai, interventional cardiologist, is the most recent addition to the NOVA Cardiovascular Care team. We are excited to gain his vast clinical experience and exceptional procedural skills to our growing practice.
Dr. Rai completed his Internal medicine residency at The
Stamford Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Subsequently, Dr. Rai completed
his General Cardiology Fellowship at University Of Florida, College of Medicine at Jacksonville. Dr.
Rai continued his training with an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Baystate
Medical Center, Tufts University.
Dr. Rai is board certified in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. Since 2009, Dr. Rai was an Assistant Professor of the Division of Cardiology and the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Howard University School of Medicine/Hospital. In addition, Dr. Rai has continued his research in clinical trials involving both coronary and endovascular interventions.
Dr. Rai is well respected by his patients and peers for his excellent quality of patient care.
